Request your file from Instagram
Instagram prepares a free ZIP file with your data. This is the official method.
See detailed steps
- Open Instagram, go to your profile, then the ☰ menu → Accounts Center.
- Open Your information and permissions → Export your information → Create export.
- Choose your Instagram account, then Export to device.
- Under Customize information, keep at least: Followers and following, Messages, Your activity, Ads information, Security and login.
- Date range: All time. Format: JSON. Media quality: Low (smaller file).
- Start the export. When Instagram's email arrives, download the ZIP file(s).
- Come back here and drop the ZIP, without unzipping it.
- Open TikTok, go to your profile, then the ☰ menu → Settings and privacy.
- Open Account → Download your data.
- In the Request data tab, choose All.
- Format: JSON, then tap Request data.
- Wait until the file is ready (a few minutes to a few days). TikTok will notify you.
- In the Download data tab, download the ZIP. It is only available for a few days.
- Come back here and drop the ZIP, without unzipping it.

Is it really free?
Yes, with no sign-up and no limits. The site is funded by advertising.
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. The file is read by your browser. Only your follower list is kept in this browser so we can show you who unfollowed you next time. You can erase it at the bottom of the page.
Why can't I just type my username?
Instagram and TikTok don't share follower lists without logging in. Sites that offer this use forbidden bots or ask for your password. The official export is the only complete and safe method.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. Download the ZIP on your phone, open this site in your browser and tap “choose a file”. It also works on a computer.
Does it work if my account is private?
Yes. Your own export contains all your data, even if your account is private. You can only analyze your own account, never someone else’s.
Is the Wrapped accurate?
The numbers come straight from your export. TikTok watch time is an estimate, because TikTok doesn't provide exact durations.
Does a security alert mean I was hacked?
Not necessarily: a new phone, a trip or a VPN can also trigger alerts. However, an email or phone number changed without your consent is a strong sign.
Are people notified?
No. The site only reads your file. Nobody is notified.
How often should I check?
Once a month is enough. Each new analysis is compared with the previous one to show who unfollowed you.
Why does an account show up even though it follows me?
The export is a snapshot. If someone followed you after it was created, they won't appear. Deactivated accounts can also affect the list.
Will Instagram or TikTok know I use FollowersChecker?
No. We never connect to your account. Downloading your data is a normal feature of both apps.
My file is huge. Is that a problem?
No, the site only reads the useful files in the ZIP, even if it is several GB.
Does it work with Threads?
Yes. When your Instagram export includes Threads data (or if you export Threads separately), a “Threads” switch appears in the Followers tab.
